I'm a bit of a lurker generally, but hope I'm still welcome. I just wanted to say that I am at 54 days now and finally beginning to feel 'well' again. I had a load of blood tests done a couple of weeks ago as i was feeling a bit grotty and to my amazement my liver is perfectly fine as are pretty much all my other organs 
which I am very surprised about!! The results showed that I am shhhh - menopausal eek, but hey!! At least I'm alive to go through it!!I had a moment about anhour ago where I watched my husband opena can of lager and really fancied one, this is pretty rare, but it was a very strong urge, soooo I came on here, read a load of posts and you have, again, stopped me.

Thats always a relief after what we do to ourselves.

If I remember correctly wasn't it your daughter that looked into your eyes a couple of months ago and said something along the lines of "Mommy, your eyes are all sparkly now" a few days into your recovery? An incredible moment to remember & cherish during those times of weakness.
Sorry if this wasn't you and congratulations on 54 days, I am sure your eyes are all sparkly now too.

Yes that was me - I have another add to that - I have also given up smoking and my son (9) was all snuggled up to me and said 'you smell like mummy now, not disgusting smoke'.
I love my kids!!

54 days is great, congratulations. It really is amazing at how the liver can come around after drinking. Mine came around quickly also and something I am really grateful for.
Please keep going, it is so nice to live and enjoy life sober!
