9 months for Coffeenut on Friday!
and I just gotta say....this sobriety business ROCKS!
I'm going through some family 'stuff' (like everyone does) that is pretty stressful right now....and here's the kicker....I have no desire for a drink. None.
So, I've been trying to keep up with SR and I'm trying to remember just when that happened. It's been quite awhile, but it has been such a beautiful transformation, that it just kinda happened.
I guess I'm using up a whole bunch of space to let those in early recovery know that there IS hope. Sobriety CAN be done! It is truly the most astonishing thing that has happened to me. I have learned so much during this journey.....well worth every step.
So....if you are just getting started and feeling overwhelmed....please stick around SR. You CAN do this!

CONGRATULATIONS!
When I hit my 9 months, I remember comparing the changes that had taken place within me to the changes that a baby goes through inside it's Mother's womb while she is pregnant. I think the extraordinary growth that we show in our first 9 months of Recovery is just as much of a miracle as the process of the growth of a baby from the moment of conception through birth. It's as though we are reborn during these 9 months all over again.
May God continue to Bless you throughout your journey in your new life in Recovery.
Congratulations again,
Judy[/FONT]

Oh, man...about the time I think I can't be rattled...I peek into this thread and cry like a baby. Thanks for all your well wishes. You guys truly are the best. I KNOW my sobriety very much is in line with my commitment to SR. This place takes care of its own.
And... although I don't do AA, I do read the steps everyone talks about, and I respect them. The way we can all mix it up and have it come out making sense brings out the best of SR.
Okay, I'm off on a tangent again (as usual!)...bottom line, SR is the Best.
