new outlook!
I have just decided to have a new outlook on my life. I think I will post here and continue my Alanon and wait and see what happens in my life. I have a dream for myself and I guess it is the same as so many of us here have and that is to have our A's sober and hope they stay that way. I have only seen my A sober for a couple of weeks now but he is doing well. I have been working on my strengths. I don't know how I have survived my marriage as long as I have. I am stronger now than I was 2 months ago. I have Alanon and therapy to thank for that. I am hoping a lot of the mental games stop and the playing with my emotions can be done with. I am going to make the best of what I have for now and see where I go from there.

That sounds like your dream for him.
If you have a sponsor, work the steps and keep your new outlook...you will make progress.

You are right, I should be looking at my dreams for myself. I guess I still need you all to keep my focus on me!! I think as every single sober day as a dream come true and hope it lasts. I do need to get a sponsor. I haven't been going to alanon that long and haven't really thought that far ahead. Thanks!!!!

Yes, it's nice that he's making the right choices right now, and i hope he continues. But as there aren't any guarantees, and as it'll make for a better, stronger, more joyful relationship if BOTH of you are healthy and strong, it's best to keep working on yourself :ghug3
Take care
