hey ladita...big hugs for you! i'm sorry you are having a tough time...do what you are doing...pick yourself back up & try again! YOU CAN DO IT!!!! i would ask that you do this...think about what you were thinking & feeling right before you picked up..sometimes when i pick my thoughts and feelings apart when i'm going through difficult times, it helps me to see what happened...just a suggestion...do you have face to face support? do you attend aa? it might help..i know it helps me alot! i know this is hard and believe me you are not disappointing me...i'm just thinking amazing good thoughts for you to get it right next time...one second, one minute, one day, etc....keep it in the moment! my best to you hon...BIG HUGS! I'm sorry to hear it as well and will once again echo the sentiment that you did not let us down, you let yourself down.

Also know that there are no failures as long as you keep trying. The only ones who fail are the ones who quit trying so dust yourself off and recommit to yourself because I assure you that you ARE worth it!

I would say also to write down everything that happened as far as your thoughts and actions that led to that drink and then point by point write down how you can battle that same situation in the future. Get yourself a gameplan.

So, happy 2009 sweetie. Make it a good one, ok?

Never give up LaDita and you will make it. I'm 42 years old and hopefully, I'm done. I have to break it into hours, minutes and sometimes seconds, when the cravings hit, but they aren't as strong or as long as they once were. You can do it friend. One day at a time.

LaDita, there is nothing odd about you using/drinking. That is what we do ..... drink and use. So don't be too hard on yourself. As has already been said, pick yourself up, don't use today, and drag your butt to a meeting. Good Luck! You can do it!
