Hello Murphy, welcome to SR. Please stick around and continue to share with our family in recovery. This is a great place, we have lots of fun along with the serious stuff.
Sorry but I don't have any experience in dealing with track marks. Maybe some of the women here have ideas for make-up that might help?

Hey murphy!!! Welcome to the family!!
As for the marks, I had a friend who had to deal with those and she wore long sleeve shirts until they went away. They won't be there forever.

Hi and welcome!!! I have a lot of scars on my legs (more from hives/allergies) and I've helped them go by hitting the tanning beds. I know that's not the smart thing to do (skin cancer and all that) but it honestly faded my scars.
Honestly only time could heal allllll wounds, and scars, I had a long time relationship
with a Guy, and he use to shoot Dope, and when he got serious on his recovery
and then during the years it star it to go away, but you could still see a little
of the scars...

I have worked in the medical field for a very long time and have seen some horrific scars from track marks. Everyone is different as far as how well they heal verses how long they have been shooting up. The issue with these kind of scars is that you have not only damaged the skin with a needle, but also with the drug of choice that also causes not only skin damage but damage to the vein as well. The longer you use the drug, the longer it takes to heal and sometimes they never go away. I would also suggest cocoa butter for the skin or vitamin E oil. ONe thing is for sure though, the sooner you become sober the sooner you heal not just skin.........but mind, body, and spirit as well.
I know there are products specifically to reduce scars, one is called simply Scar Reduction Cream, or something like that. Look in the cosmetics aisle at a big drug store.

hi Murphy, welcome to SR I have not had a fix for over 32 years and there are no scars left just a haze over the veins, I guess they are faint scars. No idea how long that took a couple of years I guess, I used to wear long sleeves when I had to.
It all takes time, we heal one day @ a time.
