Good News At Work

I wanted to share something good and surprising. My boss has come up to me twice. Once last week and then again yesterday to tell me that he feels over the past 3-4 weeks (his words exactly) that we have come to an understanding. He looked at me and said, I want to make sure you feel this also. Am I right? Have we crossed some barrier that was between us? I feel that we have overcome something and reached an understanding between us. Your attitude has changed and you are more accepting of my thoughts. Things seem so much better now and I wanted to make sure you feel it also. Wow.

Isn't that amazing? I had no idea that my not drinking would make such a huge difference at work. I know I feel better and I'm more outgoing but I didn't see that barrier between us and I didn't see it come down. He did though.

I felt really pleased. It's just one more reason to never go back out there and drink. Thanks for letting me share a big victory with you all!

clean for 4 months now, but really feeling like drinking today. I needed a reminder of whats right rather than focusing on whats still wrong.
