weeks after he left rehab, he has only attended one meeting, and still no sponsor. At first he would not go to meetings because he was not feeling well and still detoxing. Now he won't go to meetings because he doesn't have a place to live, and he is back and forth from his mom's and a friends house. Mind you, they are only three blocks from each other, so I don't know what that has to do with not going to meetings. I am strong enough to not have him stay here... now I need to stop picking up the phone....

ps. I am so hurt.

Hugs to you, littlebird, you're doing well to detach from his excuses/drama.

We can't make them do anything but we can protect ourselves from the chaos by not sitting in the front row seat.

When I don't want to answer the phone, I find unplugging it helps me more than ignoring a ring.

Hang in there, maybe try some meetings and keep taking good care of yourself.
