new here..please help

nothing like some stupid decisions to really wake you up. i feel as though if god gave me a second chance, i always knew i had a problem with drinking, even though im only 22 years of age..and still young i guess..i knew i had a problem but i kept going. it wasnt up until thursday morning where it hit me in a hard way. I dont feel like putting my private matters up here just yet..since im new. but if anyone that understands the bible..and can send me some parts i should read, to really relate..i guess you can say. I've just started trying to read the bible..for answers more than anything, but i dont understand most of it..but im trying...so if anyone can help me out..i would really appriciate it.

im positive that i wont be drinking anytime soon, and to be honest, im pretty sure i wont ever again.

what im searching for is a more personal connection with god..and if anyone can help me i would be very thankfull...

you can contact me at the following
my AIM screen name...
LemmeGetThatOE

thank you to anyone thats read, and god bless. i hope to hear from someone soon.

YOu might go to the "special intrest" section and there is a "christians in recovery" area there that you might get specific guidance from christians in recovery.

Glad you are here and if you get lost looking let me know...see if I can find a better way to direct you to that spot.

I'm so glad to see you here. SR is a great tool for getting and staying sober.

Try reading this...

It is the AA big book. See if you can find yourself in there. You are not alone. And there is so much help for you.

Glad you're here. You are in the right place.

As the post above mentions, you may find the AA big book helpful.
The forward in this book says (this is not a quote but reworded) the purpose of the book is to help alcoholics find and form a relationship with a power greater than themselves, i.e God.

This place, here, is great for support and guidance too.
