Hey All...I have 30 days too........
Hey Everybody- I have 30 days too. I'm feeling better and a little bit of hope is even creeping in....still looking for a job..but I'm acting "as if". One day at a time. Thanks

Congratulations on 30 Days Rob!
I know this isn't your first post since you came back to us but I feel like you are finally coming back to yourself.
Over the past 35 months, there have been many times I've had to act as if. By acting as if, I find that sooner or later, I'll suddenly realize that things are better than I thought . . . we don't all have an instant feeling of being in Recovery. It's not like waking up from surgery and what was making us sick is suddenly removed.
I think you're right where God wants you to be. You've been through alot and if everything came to you suddenly, you could get a false sense of having this licked. If a good job fell into your lap . . . would you feel the sense of graitude the same as if you worked hard to get it? Us alcoholics/addicts want instant gratification and I know for me, I appreciate things much more when I have to work for them.
Hope you'll post more often with us. I, for one, miss you.

I've been away for a few days Rob. A belated congrats on your 30 days, I'm happy to hear you have a little hope and you're still willing to do the deal. One day at a time, it does work.
