I bought icecream...
Actually went into supermarket intending to get wine (and dog food) but came out with turkish bread, icecream, chocolate (3 types) and chicken necks. And I don't even have a sweet tooth!!!! No, really!!!
Day 4 (first day 4 in about 5 years). 6 hours left until end of day. TIme to cook soup.
Dogs ecstatic as they got long walk by river and then the chicken necks (trust you didn't think I was planning to put them in my soup!!)
Had frustrating email from former friend last night and have been focussing on letting it flow over me. Realise I drink when do not feel like dealing with things.

Where I was raised, you could only buy liquor and wine in a specific store. Here, however, it's right in the grocery store. It makes it too easy.
Glad you opted for the ice cream! Yum!
I'm proud of you!!!

Good for you!
I think finding alternative ways to deal with stress is essential for sobriety. And, ice-cream is definitely a good way. And, the long walk with your dogs sounds good too. I walk a lot and find it really helps. It's distracting and peaceful, at the same time.

I hope I never forget the realization that I want to drink when I don't feel like dealing with things too.
Right along with the realization that those things I don't want to deal with are still all there even after I do drink.
Thanks for sharing.
