Lost another to this disease
Lost another to this disease
My heart is heavy and my eyes are full with tears as I type this - not only for the loss of this person, but for all those whom we have lossed before and may still lose . . .
I just received a call from my AH - a member of his f2f group was found dead in his apartment today.
This member "C" had been a part of the fellowship for a long time, in and out of recovery; a typical wonderful, giving man when sober, close to many in his home group - since he had been missing for about a month now, several of the guys had been trying to find him, looking for him at some of the usual places that he hides out when the disease took him to his lowest. But to no avail. This morning, they found sometime over the last few days he had returned to his apartment.
Not sure exactly the details of what happened, but utilimately it was the disease of alcoholism.
Prayers that C may finally know peace.
Also asking for prayers of comfort for his family of recovery who will sadly grieve this loss.
Thanks,
Rita

Always praying for "C" and other alcoholics who are still suffering, and for their friends and families in recovery, and I pray for comfort for you and your AH too, Rita.
Condolances Rita,
I know first hand, 2 brothers died from alcholism.
this is why I am so touchy about someone saying this isn't a disease.
the thing that helped me the most was to realize that every disease
takes a sacrifice. why does this one always take the best.
God love ya for being so compassionate
