I have such good intentions to quit drinking completely but never seem to do it, but thought since I had been down with the flu for the last few weeks and not drinking any thing I was reflecting on what it would be like to use this opportunity to stay off the booze. I didn't make it but a couple days after taking my last antibiotic and thought well one bud light won't hurt so one led to another and it only took a few to make me feel horrible the next day. I am really getting tired of this cycle I get myself into.
I was watching a Bio on some well known artist a while back {don't remember who he was but surprised me when he was telling his story}. He said for years he was a functioning addict and drinker.
That hit a cord with me, I am not an addict as far as drugs but I use alcohol to much but have learned over the many years to hide or control my use of the stuff. But then again not have control if that makes any scene.
I bing drink I guess is what you call it. I can go days with out wanting or needing any thing then when I do have one it seems to never stay at just one and in the past year the habit has been getting worse. Time to really do something about it so hear I am. for the last several months I have been telling myself for my 50th birthday present to myself I am going to drink NO MORE! I am a strong willed and relatively intelligent person only this habit is bigger than I thought. Can I do IT?
thank you all for you welcomes and support.:ghug3
