Going to take my meds right

Hey everyone! =) Today was day 5 for me without Lortabs. I felt good. I've been sleeping but my legit back problem has been KILLING me. So, I went to the doctor and I got a script of 60 7.5mg Lortabs. I didn't even want them. That's how far I've come in the last 2 weeks (I've only had 3 tabs in 2 weeks!). That is major for me. But, I suffer from severe back pain and have tried other meds to no avail. I just want to say that I'm going to take them AS PRESCRIBED. I got my disability and will FINALLY have insurance!! Then, I'm going to try everything I can to help my back problems without narcotics (Physical therapy, etc). My way of thinking has really changed in the last several weeks thanks to God. Without him, well, I'd be lost. Well, I hope all is well with everyone! =)

I don't know the extent of your back problems, but I got hooked up with a fantastic pain management specialist through my regular physician, and I get epidural shots that knock out a lot of the pain. What's left is usually very manageable and tolerable

I stay away from any narcotic pain relievers.

Hi,
I really don't mean to sound rude or anything, but BE CAREFUL. I've said in the past myself that I would take the pain med by directions, and at first I did, but then my addiction 'turned on' again and I ended up taking more. It's something with the brain chemistry, we are always addicts. I agree about going to a pain mgmt specialist that uses non-narcotic methods. Just be careful and make yourself aware if you are wanting to take the pain med for any other reason than just your back. Good luck to you!
