Out of Our Heads and Into Our Hearts... Well after a grilling three weeks I finally had a break!
I went to Sheryl Crow last night, and was in the first row.
I love her new song!
Out of our heads!
One of the 'Perks' of living where I do is I can get free
concert tickets to this place that is like 5 minutes walking
distance and I can get front row to the people I like.
When I was first 'Detoxing' I ended up at "Kenney Chesney"
and I didn't even know who the hell he was, lol, but I loved
his song, "Livin in Fast Forward" hence the signature line in my
Signature.
I've been going to concerts since I was like 5 literally.
But I stopped going when I started doing meth.
Started going again when I started detoxing, and been going ever since.
Had to force myself to go last night.
Music always keeps me going.
When I was in 'Court' on jury duty, I kept having 'Flashbacks'
the first week to my last 'jury' duty of sneaking my "meth" into
the court house *slaps head* and then sneaking into the bathroom
with their knife and cutting cause it was all so stressful and cutting...
ughh what a nightmare...
It was stressful this time, lots of talk I didn't want to deal with.
Lots of things I "didn't like", lol, but nothing I couldn't handle.
I can't believe what a mess I used to be. It's hard to even comprehend
what a mess I used to be....
Anyway, Sheryl Crow ROCKS!

I'm glad you finally got a break! I envy you about concerts...I've never been to one!
I understand about realizing what a mess we were.....I can't believe how bad I was! Well, that's wrong, I do believe it because I lived it, but it's like I was another person. I just remind myself that if I don't work at recovery, I can easily go back there.

I love Sheryl Crow...what a great treat for you after all the yucky stuff recently. I'm so glad you had that chance.
I had front row to Tom Petty one time a few years back (a great surprise for me...I knew we were going to the concert, but front row...wow!) and it was such an awesome experience. And BB King too in a fairly small restore old theater...he is incredible 82 years old and still performing...and doing some darn good shows!
