am alone in Turks & Caicos islands
Hello.. am an addict of 9 months sober now. I leave now in Turks & caicos Islands and there is no meetings here... it is so hard to stay clean.. all I have is the online meeting and I just discovering this site.. I need new friends please help and write me..

Thanks for all your advises.. in Turks & caicos Islands.. I go to AA meeting but we are only 3 members... and the other 2.. dont work the steps... I went to 4 conventions last year as I needed to leave this Islands which is full of addicts... I dont have any sober friends so I have to isolated myself and get Online meetings..I choose dead actor name because I used same pills as him.. so his death scared me. and need to stop those pills. I taught stopping cocaine and alcool would help but I really need to stop those pills for my chronic pain..need help here.

Congratulations on your 9 months - that's really good!
I know how you feel. I like in a small remote village in the middle of the mountains in Italy. No meetings where I live either
This is a good site though. I've been given lots of support and good advice from the wonderful people on here, who I now consider my friends too. Read; post; you'll be in good company.

You CAN quit them - a lot of us have and I bet if you'll post some more details, you'll find people coming out of the woodwork with their stories that will be pretty close to identical to yours and you'll get lots of support and ideason how to stay clean.
