:( BAHH 7days in and lost it
OK, Last night I had 2 glasses of wine.
Puked it up, hated myself.
Saw my counsellor today.
It was SO DIFFICULT.
Came home.
Ate, ate and ate, puked then drank.
Slept.
Now I am tired and annoyed with me.
That's about it.
Hope you're all doing well, sure you're better than me

Don't beat yourself up Mimi...drinking's what we we've done for a while..staying sober is damn hard.
I know you want to quit so...learn from this, and get back on the wagon
I haven't been around much - you doing this lone wolf style, M ?

Don't give up. Sometimes it takes some trial and error to find the method of recovery that works for you. So this way didn't work. Get back up and find one that does work for you. You can do this.
Mimi:
Last night you had a failure, a single failure in your recovery. How many "successes" did you have drinking before you quit? The comparison will hopefully put things in perspective.

Hi Mimi,
Early sobriety is most challenging...I slipped a few times...I finally reached a point that I burned through all my options and ended up homeless, carless, forced against my will into mental institutions, DUI, BUT most of all ,
I was dancing with death!!! You do not have to go down that life filled with misery. What little life I had in me encouraged me to attend meetings, and come here.
I am living life to the fullest...
Make up your mind not to drink, no matter what...It's the only we alcoholics have a chance to make it...
Thinking of you...:ghug3

Thank you all. I have been throwing up for the last 24 hours. Is it a bug? Feels like it but maybe its just my body not wanting this anymore....
I'm so scared. So scared of life without drink, no escape from my head. This alone makes me feel sick. No escape.
Please, how do you deal with your head with no escape??

A day at a time, Mimi, that's how. We become so used to numbing our emotions with booze and drugs it's extremely painful feeling anything. I understand that.
Work on getting sober first and try your very best to stay in today. Go to meetings and share how you are feeling. Take home phone numbers for other women and use them. I relied heavily on other people, especially in early recovery. We did a lot of sober activities together, and doing so helped me deal with all the feelings I was experiencing. It also helped me to laugh at myself when we would go out and tell funny stories from our past.
Come on Mimi, I know you can do this.

OK, I'm back on it. Day 1 again I guess
I really admire all of you that have stayed clean, this is so damn difficult... But I'll try just for today again.
I worked out why I drank, I was hungry and tired and no doubt lonely too. Three out of 4things we are told not to do. Well, onwards and upwards, I'll try to do a meeting tonight. Thanks Rowan and everyone for your support, it really helps so much.
Big kiss
