Good news

My daughter has been in treatment for the last month.
She will be going to a sober house on Monday. I saw her last night for a quick visit. She looks happy and healthy.
This is her 4th time, prior stays were for 4 or 5 days and then she came home. This time she can't come home. I think because of that she really has worked hard to stay with the program. She has two long time NA & AA members who will sponser her and the sober house is not in our town(her choice) no drug contacts in the new town.
She told me at 23 see can still do alot with her life and she is going to win the war not just the battle. She is learning about herself.
Please say a prayer for her. It has been a long 9 years

Trisha

Saying prayers for your daughter that this time is it. I am glad that she recognizes she can still do something good in her life. That sounds great!
Praying that she wins this dreadful war!

Gladyour daughter is trying so hard. She is the same age as my AD. Hopefully moving away will help her grow. You are both in my prayers, I know how proud you are of her!! Remember, progress not perfection

WOW, look at the recovery in that short paragraph...YOUR recovery for not allowing your home to be an option and therefore give her an "out"....and HER recovery for doing what it takes to get clean and stay that way.

She will be in my prayers, but my thoughts are that she's probably saying a few "Thank You's" herself.

Hugs

(((trisha)))

It sounds like your daughter has a good plan set up and I'm sending positive thoughts that she continues on a better path.

When my son lived in a halfway house about an hour and a half away, he made the biggest strides in his recovery ... the geographic distance was a very good thing for both of us.

hugs and prayers ~

That is great news and the fact that it is of her choosing makes it so much more rewarding. She "wants" this and that is the main thing to make it happen.

Lots of hugs and prayers,
marteen
