His eyes are dark
Laughing is no longer heard
He is feared
How will he react?
His mind has been consumed
He doesn't seem to know
Yet, the knowledge is there
Does he fear what he has become?
His friends are aloof
His family cowers
The memories are there
Can he still see them?
Is anything the same?
He gives in
He used to resist
Is he weaker now?
Those who love him offer strength
Does he not see?
Sometimes he comes back
The moment is fleeting
A little laughter
A sparkle in the eye
Can it be real?
Will it last?
He will give in again
He always does
Who has he become
He is a bomb
His life will explode
Their lives destroyed
He is ticking, ticking, ticking
Soon it will be no more
