HP would like to know more about you....

This was the subject on an e-mail I received. Being the good recovering addict/codie that I am, I instantly wondered...#1 - what on earth could my HP (God) want to know about me that He doesn't already know, and #2 - How the heck did He e-mail me?!

Of course when I looked to see who sent it, I was reminded that I have a Hewlett-Packard computer and THAT was the HP who wanted to know about me!!!

I figure I must be working hard at my recovery since any time I hear or read HP, a computer is NOT what comes to mind first!

Hugs and prayers!

Amy

That's funny,

I'll bet you weren't the only person who had to look twice.

Amy, That is a great one. Took me a minute to put it together. We must think alike. Hugs, Marle

I actually started wondering if someone from SR had e-mailed me, but don't remember giving my e-mail address to anyone and thought maybe I was getting even more forgetful in my old age

Glad to see I wasn't the ONLY one thinking like I did!

I'm off to dentist, shortly, to have 4 teeth pulled...yuk! Dentist is well aware of my recovery and will only give a max of 16 pain pills, no matter what he does to my mouth. I've got some motrin, so will try to use mainly those, but I am a wimp when it comes to pain.

Check in with you later....

Hugs and prayers!

Made me smile and laugh. One day I was on the computer and my daughter was standing over me reading my post. She asked me why I was writing to Hp about that subject!

I asked her not to read over my shoulder because some of what I am typing is very personal. She looked so dismayed....until I figured out she thought I was writing to HP computer company about something. We both laughed. She knows about the Higher Power from AA so just explained that to her.

Impurrfect,
Oh how funny is that!

As for your Dentist visit, I hope it goes well.

(The dentist is my worst PHOBIA...makes my heart beat fast just reading the word, Dentist)

Back from the dentist, minus 3 teeth.

Didn't help that he was very busy, got me numbed up then I had to wait an hour. Started poking on one of the teeth and I was trying to climb under the chair to move away from him. Numbed me up again and went okay. The bill was actually $80less than what I thought, so that was a good thing.

I have had to take one lortab, but only after taking motrin twice. I know the last time I had a tooth pulled, the first 24 hours was pretty bad, but much better. Already had a long talk with HP (NOT the computer) about keeping recovery first and foremost in my mind, so I'll be fine.

Haven't been to sleep yet (worked all night), it's raining here, and 2 of my cats are snuggled up on the bed with me, so will go to sleep for a while.

Glad to know that I'm not the only one who forgets HP means something totally different to "earth people".

Hugs and prayers!

Amy
