Talking 30 Days

Midnight will be 30 days. Whew....what a struggle....the cravings are still there sometimes.....especially at the race this past weekend.....there were sooo many smokers there......duh.

I just kept thinking that this 3 mile trek to the track and the 3 miles back to the campground would be so much easier....and it was. SO-

Right now I am at 29 days, I have smoked 425 cigs and I have saved $75.25 this month. (wish I could figure out where that money went.)

Thumbs up Quitting Smoking!

Hi Laura,

I used a forum on the Internet to help me quit smoking.....the tallies are very encouraging. :burned

It is wonderful you now have made 30 days. I still get anniversary notes from the program I belong to and the last one was for four years. It doesn't seem that long. Cigarette smoke still smells good to me but not the smells on clothing.

Hi Jason-

Yep, I quit cold turkey. I was just glad to quit at a young age.....I'm only 24. My mom told me the older you get the harder it is.

This was my second time truly quitting. I smoked for about 5 years and quit for 1 1/2 years then started smoking again for a few years. Although I didn't smoke as long this time as I did last time it was much harder to quit the second time. The cravings were terrible in the beginning.

If you can't smoke because your sick...thats a good start-the first few days are the worst until the nic is out of your system.....just don't pick up another cig once you are better. Its how I stopped again. I had bronchitis and couldn't smoke anyways...so I just decided to make it my quit time.
