glad to be here
Just wanted to say hello to everyone. Sunday the 23rd I'll have six months sober. Glad to have found this website and everyone here. All my former friends drink and drug so I'm trying this basically alone. Some things I'd really like to discuss are not sleeping and terrible dreams if I do, helping others, and anything that may help me to stay sober. Been another sleepless night so I won't ramble on, just glad to wake up sober today.
Hi and Welcome,
Congratulations on six sober months!
I had sleeping problems before I started drinking and I still have sleeping problems, so I know they are not directly related to alcohol.
It could be that your sleep patterns will still smooth out for you, but maybe not. You'll find lots of us online throughout the night keeping each other company, so you can always check in here, if you like.

Hi, and welcome to SR...congrats on your sober time. My first sponsor always used to say, "Nobody ever died from lack of sleep." She was right...27 years later, I'm again having trouble sleeping; but, it's a condition of old-age, rather than alcohol. Now, I have to resort to Ambien.
BTW...I thought I was God's favorite drunk!
