Cool Day 12.......I want a beer and a bowl

Ok it's day 12, I so want to go buy a case of beer and a half ounce to partake in when I watch football today, but I know I can't and won't. It's amazing how hard some days can be, the last few days were pretty easy, but I woke upthis morning with a thirst I so want to quench! Argh, screw the "one day at a time" I think today is a 1 minute at a time day!

take the money and buy yourself a new football to toss around during commercials and halftime? that sounds kind of fun..

Go to an AA meeting instead of watching the football game.

You'd be amazed how effective a simple thing like that can be...

These posts are too funny for words! Someone once told me he didn't feel like drinking until he went to AA meetings! Talk about "looking for an excuse"!

My sobriety date is November 15...I had a Tree Trimming Party the week before Christmas...danced at an AA New Year's Eve Party...threw a Super Bowl Party for AA members. During half-time I had these folks (who never knew how to have fun without booze) playing charades, and happily making fools of themselves!

It's amazing what you can do (and remember) when you're sober...just a little imagination...and, of course, someone to get things started!

Ya know,.....you dont HAVE to watch football. You'd be suprised how closely tied your football and drinking are. Football may be waaay too much a trigger for you right now. You should consider 86'ing it from your life for the time being.

I did watch football last night, and leading up to the game I was extremely angry... Thinking I will never be able to watch football and drink beer. However I ended up forgetting about the beer half way into the first game and enjoyed it. However nobody was drinking around me either. I may not be able to watch the games when that is happening...
