Day 30!
I can’t believe it --- I picked up a 30 day chip at my meeting today!
Almost didn’t make it – not because I was going to drink today, but because I
was rear-ended on the way there. Thanks to this miracle called sobriety
I was able to face the situation calmly and rationally (and without fear of being
caught with alcohol on my breath) … got to the meeting late, but got there
just the same.
Just wanted to thank all of you who have shared your stories on this board –
without them I would not have had the courage to take those first steps down
this road.

Hi 30-day-buddy - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Today is 30 days for me, too, and I did NOT get to my meeting b/c of a nasty cold that is making me feel a little lightheaded...funny, when I finally gave up the idea of going to the meeting, I realized it was the first time I was afraid to drive or couldn't go someplace in 30 days...that being resigned to staying in because I was drinking pattern had already drifted away...We are so blessed, my friend!!!!
