TOPIC: What Would You Like Written On Your Sobriety BD Cake?
Hi Im Sharon and Im an Alcoholic.
By the Grace of my HP and people
like you here in these meetings I
havent found it necessary to take
a drink of alcohol since 8-11-90.
For that and you I am truely
grateful.
If i continue to practice the
principles of our recovery
program to the best of my
ability ODAAT, then come
Saturday August 11 I will
have 17 yrs of continuous
sobriety.
Since i work at a bakery and
I do love bringing treats to
my meetings for others to
enjoy as part of my service
work....I am also thinking of
bringing a big cookie cake
to share next Saturday
when i pick up my chip.
This is where i need some
suggestions....
What would you have written
on ur cake for others to see
and enjoy at ur own sobriety
birthday celebration?
How about the word "ENJOY"
written across the cookie?

Well i placed my order for my choc. chip cookie
cake to bring to the meeting Saturday at 2pm.
On the full cookie sheet i will have a white icing
border and the words HAPPY JOYOUS AND FREE
written in the center by a talented decorater
at my job.
I also have a friend who will give me my chip.
Now im thinking of what i shall say when i
get my chip....hmmmm
Any pointers?

I had to reply to this because there use to be a guy here that used to open all the time like that. One day a member said "Joe, that is bullsh!t I saw you drinking at the bar about two weeks ago!" Joe replied "yes that is right, I was drinking about two weeks ago. But it wasn't necessary!" OK a little humor never hurts anyone.
Hey Sharon since you are using the "Happy, Joyous, and Free" one, do I get a piece of your cake

Sharon, my 3 year bday was yesterday. When they announced it in the meeting one of my friend's yelled out "Kellye, how did you do it?" Immediate answer was one day at a time and sometimes one minute at a time.
I love what you put on your cookie, that's what I have on my myspace. I think I would put ODAAT and make those that don't know what it stands for wonder and ask.
Congratulations my dear friend. 17 years is so awesome! Also, thank you for all you do on here. You bring such great and different topics that cause people to think.
