lol - since I always post here when I'm bummed I thought I'd tell you guys that I rented my apartment yesterday. Got top dollar for it, the people are a very nice family, and they gave me the deposit/1st month rent. This reduces the pressure on me immensely as far as money is concerned. I am so relieved.
I also had a meeting with son's teachers today. If he amasses NO more cuts and passes his classes, he will graduate after all. He only has to keep his nose clean for a few weeks and he claims he's going to take care of business. He's got that 12 inches of daylight and it's up to him now. I'm just glad he can still pass if he tries hard enough.
So ... I'm still working on the job stuff. I think a part of my problem is that I don't comunicate well enough verbally because I get nervous, especially in an interview when I know I'm being weighed and measured. I think I'm going to start going to toastmasters meetings and see if I can learn something useful there.
So that's the update ... thought I'd share

You might want to think about a coach... you know someone to practice interviewing with... I interview for positions Im probably would not want too... just for the practice.
Glad to hear all is getting better... at least a little pressure off you for now!!!

So Happy for you! What a relief!
Interviewing is tuff-but as someone who interviews people-if you get yourself nice and relaxed before hand and go in with a smile and fresh attitude you will do just fine!

Good news!
Many community colleges offer public speaking classes, this may help you, not that you are going to become a public speaker, but, the format may help you relax and communicate better. If you can speak before a crowd, you can communicate on a one to one basis.
