i know i come to the forums mainly when my spirit feels down in the pits and when life has thrown yet another curve... i don't come as often as i should .... i make that one of my short term goals (to spend more GOOD time here giving strength to others)

BUT i want to give everyone a hug for responding so emphatically and lovingly through the responses every time i've needed it (no matter which part of the country we are in- Thank GOD for the internet!)

sometimes even attending al-anon is a challenge. but being able to share things at the forums has many times given me the love and understanding i need (even if my husband still won't care about giving me a hug- i asked him for one- still nothing)

Here is a big hug for you. You know you can give yourself the love you need even if someone you love is not capable of it now. Don't worry too much about coming here to vent. When I first came here that was mainly what I did too. Even reading other people's vents can be helpful to us. It reminds us that we need to keep moving forward. Be gentle with yourself. SR is a big part of my recovery recipe too. In between meetings it helps me stay focused and serene, and now I have so many wonderful friends here.
