Went to two al-anon meetings today !

I went to not one, but two al-anon meetings this morning..........I enjoyed them both, the first one was my favorite of the two..........It totally amazes me how open and warm most of these people are. I have not had the courage to speak yet, but just going in myself is enough right now............

I plan to go to more ....

my husband and i jump around to 3 different meetings that we like. they're each a bit different, and we like meeting so many folks. it's great to hear that you had such a positive experience! k

lilac....and there is where it will all begin for you.....enjoy your journey....

i use al-anon, this forum, another alternative forum that is based upon having power over alcohol, (i know, it is alternative, but still interesting and insightful), fellowship within aa and al-anon, and reading....i have just purchased melody b.....co-dependant no more.....and many other self-help books....dr. phil....etc.

Awesome! I just got an alanon sponsor, which was a big step for shy ol me (took me a year, ha!). It works if you work it (or so I hope!!!).

Good for you! I am new to al-anon too and have been going for almost 2 weeks (been to 5 meetings). I have my favorites set now and will be going 3x/week. Wish I could go more, but have 3 little ones and just can't work it.
