On Tuesday after our A.A meeting I was aske dout on a date by a 71 year old in the program and then yesterday I was at the Dr's office and there was this 80 year old gentleman in the waiting room and we were chatting. When I was leaving he says well if you are ever in my neighborhood stop by for a visit and he told me his address.
At least I have the older crowd hahahahahahah.

for me???? i attract all the real short men....i mean real short. like in tiny short. teeny-tiney itty bitty wee-wee wittle ones.....dang....why is that?????
i'm kinda taller than the average bear....5'8" on a bad day, taller on good days....depends on how high the chit is stacked for the day...but these little short uns just flock to me.

Richard's phone has either been disconnected or turned off since Saturday evening because it goes directly to voice mail each time I call. The last time I spoke to him, he was in a terrible state. It's difficult to tell whether he's confused due to a diabetic sugar low or to drunkeness. Either way, he was barely able to communicate.
I pray for his recovery every day and hope one day he finds peace. Even in the throws of alcoholism and the depths of his despair, he's a kind and gentle soul. I think for many addicts, life is just too difficult to bear.

oh....i was so hoping that his stay in the hosp. would have helped him...but that's what we do....always hoping and praying. i used to get so angry with god....i would say to him...he is just one little speck of humanity.....please, just help him, fix him, make him well...how hard can that be for you???
that was a long, long time ago.
now i've had to find graces in many other forms. but, like you, i still pray for mine everyday.
