Hi - I'm new -

Currently I'm starting week 2 of a 5 week outpatient program at Ridgeview. The program is rather intense, as we meet 5 nights a week from 6 - 9. Plus 2 required AA meetings on the weekends.

It may be intense, but it's working. Day 10 for me today! Also taking Campral, and feel that it helps alot. My depression meds are starting to work again, and I'm feeling pretty good about myself!

Hi gam,
Congratulations! I am a Ridgeview "graduate," and you couldn't have picked a better program. I finished in mid-September and as of today I have ninety days! That place saved my life, and I hope you will get as much out of it as I do....be sure to make plans for aftercare/alumni group with Sam.
I'd like to hear more about how you are doing as you progress with treatment as well as what got you there, if you'd like to share!
Best of luck with the progam!

New too

Hello - I am new to the group. My husband (of 20 yrs) entered a sub-acute dual diagnosis recovery facility on Friday morning. He went in because his girlfriend told him he needed help.......

I haven't heard from him and am unsure of how all of this works. I will look at the families forums for some direction. I am not sure what he sees my role (if any) in his recovery. He lived with me until Thursday night and talked of reconciling................

I would just like to be aware of what is happening. I was going to serve him with divorce papers this week and now I am unsure what would be best for the moment.

Well this issue sounds two sided. Are you divorcing him because he drinks or because he has a girlfriend?? If he has girlfriend that's a completely different issue from his drinking!! And if he says he has a girlfriend BECAUSE of his drinking. That's not an acceptable excuse.

Just a thought, one woman to another.
