Here is a stupid question I know all the abbreviations for AA meetings however if it is a family group for alanon is it closed it staes AFG any help guys trying to do the meeting thing just amking sure I got the right one ? Don't make fun we all have to learn lol

AFG = Alanon Family Group. There should be a phone number right next to the listing of the meeting so you call and find out. If not call the Al-Anon number in your phone book and ask them.

Well i made it but I was in such in a hurry and not paying attention I went to the meeting for saturday night, lol Too much oh well at least I actually got in the car and tried I have decided that saturday and sunday this coming weekend I am GOING!!!!! as well as church on sunday that seemend to help somehow. Thank you all for your support I wish sometimes I could take all the people who respond to me on a regular basis and create a little meeting lol You guys are wonderful It makes me have hope that even if I never understand it all I will have the support and the tools I need to keep myself strong and when I fall I have awesome people like you to get me through THANK YOU!!!!!!!! By the way last note here. I have looked everywhere for books regarding Al-anon and went to the bookstore purchased the wrong book Courage to change but was still very helpful and also sober but stuck great for those with emotional insecurities about fear of intamcy and rejection and why they leave. I know I can get some literature at the meetings but until this weekend does anyone know where to purchase or how to get them do not have access tp purchase online and that is not helping Any suggestions thanks

your central office will sell. call the number and ask. when you purchase literature at a local level it supports the local meetings
