Talking Ratrace Day One

Had a great first day at work everyone. I think I'll fit in with the company culture very well and all the people seem great thus far. The nature of the work is not really "thrilling," but oh well. Just hand me my check at this point!! This is all temporary. It's all a stepping stone to bigger and better things.

My weekend was wonderful. I went to the zoo with a friend and played a lot of pool. I've lived here for over 4 years and had never gone to the zoo. There was no drinking involved-- just two people enjoying a day at the zoo in the rain. I've postponed so many things that I like/love to do b/c of my marriage to XAH. To any of you out there doing the same, please get out and live life and don't continue putting your happiness and your own needs second. This is the only time you have. It feels so good that I'm now making the most out of my time. I never want to go back to where I was only 2 months ago. I can't believe I allowed it to continue as long as it did. Everything does serve a purpose though and this I will always believe.

Great stuff, mega, and glad to hear the first day at the new job went well. My work is not "thrilling" either, but it sure beats the life I had before.

I just love to see you blossom.

Oh Mega!

My job is not thrilling either. But any job is better than living with an alcoholic in active addiction, now that is a bad job!

Hope your day is great!

Same here. I have absolutely no regret over kicking my husband out, ending the marriage (as it was), or anything else. The only regret I have is that I didn't do it sooner. Life is precious and oh-so-short. I'm so happy you are living yours!
