Hi guys,
My name is Jade. I started posting here a long time ago. Back when I was wondering if I was maybe sorta an alcoholic and if so, how do I stop? Wait... it gets worse? I can never drink again?
For years after my first post I proceeded to stumble around causing wreckage and damage everywhere I went. Mostly to myself. My posts are sporadic and inconsistent.
It was a lot of trial and error. Mostly error. A lot of failures and a lot of spiritual awakenings.
I have almost two years of sobriety now and I want to say thank you. For being patient with me and my denials. Answering questions. Reasoning with my AV. Explaining the disease of alcoholism. And just generally being my tribe until I could make it on my own.
To all the newcomers, it gets better. It gets more amazing than you could ever believe possible.

Welcome back and congratulations on your 2 years sober Jade. Thank you for sharing your story of success too, it's indeed proof that things can get better. I hope you can stick around and share some of the things that have worked for you.

Oh, yay! You were in my Class of March 2014 thread here for a while.
I'm so happy you've found your life again. I sometimes wonder about the people who came and went in that thread. It was so helpful for me to have that tribe. Good word.
