I didn't expect to come to my computer tonight
and find all of the happy Birthdays for me
I have been looking forward to this birthday
maybe because this is twice as long as I have ever been sober before
drank twice before just short of my 3 year birthdays
I think that I learned from those relapses

keeping a steady eye on the guy that looks back at me in the mirror each day
he seems to be the one who has fooled me the most
