I use my experience to benefit others. So powerful: one alcoholic helping another alcoholic.

Cool

"In recovery, have you found that your own 'box full of darkness' became a gift?"

Hmmm; I dunno; guess that might depend oh how one defines 'box full of darkness.' Although it's a catchy phrase, for me, I'm still not sure what my 'box full of darkness' was, or even if I ever had one.

Then perhaps I'd also be very grateful if I were you!

I hear the term, and without needing to rely on the term itself I understand what those things have been in my life, including a "box full of darkness" that was set before me not so long ago. I know what the other "boxes" have become as a result of previous cycles through the steps, and with continued application of spiritual principles I am seeing this one bring once again bigger blossom rather than a withering. Or as I heard it said recently by a spiritual speaker, it's the difference between being buried and being planted.
