Many alcoholics find this out the hard way. I'm one of them. You just have to pray that if the alcoholic has to go back out again that they don't seriously hurt themselves or someone else while drinking...drunk driving, their health, family...

I love to hear the comparison of the alcoholic to a cucumber. Once a cucumber is pickled it will always be a pickle. Same with the alcoholic once and alcoholic we can never become a normal drinker.
