My Serenity Level For Today Is -- Percentage

It has helped me a lot lately keeping track of my serenity level at any certain time of the day. Shooting for a 100% a the end of the day is my (our) goal. Oh-yes, I understand that is a pretty high goal.

Today has been a real challenge with the repairing of three exterior door jams that the professional door man installed but, I think they need beefing up, which is taking a lot of deep study and work and runs to different parts stores.

During the day when things were getting rough I kept saying to myself, thank you God that I have three doors to repair and the skills to do the job. Kind of like if we get a flat tire and start to get bummed out it may be best to say to ones self, thank you God that I have a car than runs with a flat tire.

Today was a very good day considering all the stress.
It is evening now and I have came though the day with a

96 % serenity reading for the day.

Please share how your day is going with us.
I have found that it helps to keep serenity in the minds eye.

A nice sober day wished for all,
M-Bob

It's early in the morning and the facts are that serenity or part of it for the day can be lost very fast. If the thoughts of the day ahead seem overwhelming I (we) could lose our serenity or part of it before we known it.

Looking at a bicycle ride at the beach today with my wife and best friend. Thinking about projects here at home that need to be done and staying relaxed and looking forward to a nice sober day.

Running at 100% -- so far.

A nice day of serenity wished for all,

I like this idea, M-Bob. Right now I'm at 100% and it feels so reassuring to know I too have some projects that I am able to address this afternoon.

Thanks for the idea!

My serenity level was pretty low yesterday. Dealing with a sudden death in my ex-husband's family (his brother, my son's uncle), issues with men in my life, and worrying about my daughter (25 but acting like a teenager, and with a kid of her own). I'd say I was at less than 50%.

Working today on upping the level. Figuring out what's in my power and what isn't. Most of it isn't. Taking action where possible and necessary, trying to let the rest go. At the moment, 70%.

Nice to see you all here on this morning. It seems that just keeping thoughts of serenity on the mind helps me to stay calm and I hope that it also helps you all.

True -- we are powerless over much.

I do understand that one Ken and I have been keeping a close eye on myself lately.

This morning I explained to the wife how to shut the new screen door properly. She was forcing it shut. Poor Mountainman, no one seems to do it like you do. I thought of this thread first and kept it very, very cool with her. Still lost a couple of small points.

Nice seeing you here Ken.

Does anyone else's brain try to think negatively even when attempting to be okay with being okay?

I find my brain looking for things to get anxious.....

Then I recall I am sober and I am thankful and grateful for this. Then I focus on being useful to others. So simple.

98% serene today!

The mind will often drift off to la la land.
Letting go of some old ideas helps.

The retraining of the heart, mind and soul takes time.

96% for the day.

A nice sober evening wished for all.

We have 5 bee hives here on our property.
Wife got stung on her nose and her nose swelled up and black and blue.
8:19 AM and she just headed down the mountain to see a doctor.
Still holding on to 100% serenity.
Things do happen -- especially at a bee keepers home.

A nice sober day wished for all,
