Eleven months clean from opiates
Thanks Everyone!
I'm rolling closer to the one year mark! Shew! I've made it to the eight months mark twice and ended up back on the pain meds for medical reasons! It almost happened again this time! I was thrilled I made it thur the tooth extraction w/o any pain afterwards! In the past I would have been looking forward to having more pain meds to use though!
I was actually given 20 pills and didn't take a one of them! Only the antibiotics! Just blows me away I'm not craving the pain meds anymore! I've been on and off them since 1985! I know exactly how much of my life they took from me! I pray to never have it happen again!

I can honestly say I don't think I ever dealt with any PAWS problems!
Years ago I was prescribed Carbidopa for RLS! I've lived with RLS my entire life though. The Carbidopa keeps my legs calmed down and it also helped to keep me from climbing the walls. I use a very low dose of it now whenever I feel my legs starting to act up. I'm sure it helps to keep me calm and collective as well.
I'm also a strong willed person and when I put my mind to something? I stick with it! Like not taking any of my husband's opiates all this time! I'm now 25 days away from being off the opiates for a year!
I spent 23 years in the ARNG as a full time employee also. I was having to answer to Officers and ppl with rank above mine all the time. I built up the strength within myself to endure so much at this time. I feel now like I can manage almost anything!

Life really is SOOOO much nicer off the opiates! It's hard to believe in the beginning of giving them up, but it's so worth it in the long run!
