250 Days Clean and counting
That's awesome TOD! You are so correct and one of the main reasons I wanted off them too! Now go take care of that mother of yours! I'll bet she's so relieved to have you there for her! I can't tell you how happy I am for my daughters! I believe having my girls was a real blessing to me! Especially, my middle one! She is the best and always there for me!
I believe it's day 254 I'm clean from opiates. Staying up all night at the hospital has me all confused. But? Mom was released yesterday afternoon to come home. I stayed with her last night. She's been a busy BEE today around the house. She even put a roast in the oven for supper tonight. Nothing puts her down for long! She's never still even when sitting.

Happy to hear that TOD! Your mom reminds me of my Dad and my grandparents too. They (grandparents) lived to be in their late nineties... 97 and 98! (My Dad is still alive and in his late 70's right now.)
Congrats on your day 254!

The hospital was running short on beds. That's how full they were! The staff was jumping thru hoops to stay on top of everything. The nurse thanked me for being a big help for mom while she was there! As well as making sure she got the things she was supposed to when they forgot them.

I've made it twice to eight months and then ended up back on the pain meds due to medical procedures! I've had a tooth pulled and dealt with the shingles too this past month! I survived them both w/o taking any pain meds. Woot Woot I don't want to feed that feeling again with opiates!
Congrat's on your 7 months! That's awesome!

For years I've used the pain meds to deal with life! UGH! Here in the past two/three weeks? I've had my mom in the hospital, my SD had her appendix removed, I've dealt with malware/popups on my computer and figured out how to fix it myself, etc. I don't even want to imagine trying to deal with that and all the other stuff being fuzzy minded on opiates!
Living the clean life IS so much easier and better! We just have to continue believing it!

Thanks Twofour! And good luck to your son too!
I've had things happen in the past two weeks that would have sent me running to the pills in the past. But by being clean I trudged thru and got problems taken care of and ppl cared for! Makes me want to throw my arms in the air, like a football ref does when a touchdown is made, and holler - SCORE! LOL
