He looks bigger than a Dwarf! Dwarfs have tiny ears and tiny legs. But you know what? He could be as large as a Doberman and y'all would still love him as Mr. Mimi!

I mean Really! Check this guy out!

I wasn't here last night.. I was getting caught up on Project Runway and eating watermelon. LOL
Allfor! Sarge! CUTE??????? REALLY? I'm NO Private Benjamin! But you are very correct on me earning all the stripes in both fields!

Yeah the crew here decided I needed a new name here! So I'm Sarge here and TOD everywhere else! Confusing to say the least! I've already done a few OOOOPS while typing my name! LOL

Oh Yeah! Cleanin!!!!! My rabbit Hickory, loved watermelon! Try some with Mimi!

Lost, you are entering the boredom stage and in my opinion, this is harder by far than acute detox. I'm still there, to be honest. Nothing is filling the void for me. Sorry, I had words with the husband this morning. Difficult. We apologized to each other but......So I'm grumpy and out of sorts. Sorry again. But just reading here is a nice pick me up. I will go to the movies today and see the James Brown epic. After I work my body to exhaustion. That should fix me up

Around these parts, there are fires burning all around from lightening strikes. And the smoke. Settled in overnight. The sun looks like an orange ball giving all below an orange tinge. It's very unpleasant to breathe.

GAWD, I'm a downer today. I'll just read from now on.

Mama, I hope you will keep us informed about your condition. I read up on it and I am so sorry you have this diagnosis. But sounds like you caught it early and that they are treating it pretty aggressively. That is good. Here I go giving medical advice again but be SURE to do everything just as the docs say. This will be very important. I have a feeling you'll be ok. Try to keep that thought at the front of your mind.

Love to all of you! I'm feeling better already.

That's good Elsie! Glad you're feeling better! Gosh, fires and smoke everywhere is a terrible and scary thing. Certainly worth complaining about. Great advice for mama!

Lost I'm glad you are ok and checked in....yeah boredom is a tough one.

Mama hang in there you will get through this....praying this treatment will heal you.

I admit I didn't go back to read the other posts....will do that after I have my coffee.

Have a great day!

Tired, I gotta tell you, I just love that picture of "Sarge", is it? The woman on the sidelines adds so much interest to the whole setting. Is that you by any chance?

I grew up having chickens. They were just part of the whole scene of my childhood. I loved them. I remember gathering eggs with my Grandma. Reaching under the warm hen.....My Grandparents sold eggs and had a dairy.

Hi Everyone.
Lost so glad you checked in. Boredom is probably the hardest part for most addicts. I know it was for my son. Staying busy, active and doing things you enjoy, especially some form of exercise will really help. You probably already know all this . There really isn't much else you can do but just to keep as busy as possible. I hope things get better for you.

Else I hope you are feeling better tonight. We all go through our down times. I think it is normal, especially for women. Hormones, mood swings. It is so fun being a woman isn't it?

Mama I am glad you got in so quickly and they are treating it aggressively. All this worrying is hopefully for naught and it will clear up in no time and no surgery will be needed. They really know how to scare you though don't they? Telling us the worst case scenario? I don't think you let it go too long. MY gosh you have been dealing with so much the last few months and look how well you have done! I am believing everything is going to work out just fine for you Mama! I have had several scares in my lifetime and none ever turned out as bad as the possibilities that were given me. You enjoy being clean and the beautiful summer and let God and the doctors heal you! Love you Mama. I'll be praying for you.

Clean, your bunny is adorable. My daughter had one with her husband when they were first living together. When they moved they gave it to a nice family.
Hope you are enjoying your weekend.

Butter, glad you are enjoying your time with your mom away. Maybe not checking FB while away would be good for you? Hopefully with time B's "likes" and comments wont affect you as much.

Eyes,Blue, Dee hope you are all enjoying the first part of the weekend.
I worked today for my husband and am working at the hospital tomorrow but only have to work 4 hours. Not looking forward to getting up at 6am but it will go quickly.
It rained almost all day and is drizzling on and ff right now so there wasn't much else to do.

Hope everyone enjoys their weekend.

Hi everyone! I guess everyone is busy today. Hope you are having a nice day. Today was my food shopping day....so got that done....then cooked dinner and am just now finished with the last of the dishes. Hubs is sawing and hammering downstairs in his workshop. He's making a desk for my son. Hmm.....lets see how it turns out. Sometimes he surprises me with something well designed and made....and other times....well...he tries...and I guess that is what counts. He's got the kids all involved with this project too....so that's nice....a little daddy time.

Sarge that is some rabbit right there.....huge...and very fluffy......Mimi looks like a dwarf compared to that one! I was looking at and reading web pages about dwarf bunnies last night, and I can see that Mimi is not a purebred dwarf bunny.....which is fine with me. He does not have the tiny ears and legs like you were saying. He's probably half dwarf and half something else. While I was looking around, I came across this page from a former dwarf bunny owner that basically says rabbits make horrible pets. Whoops.... I think I'll continue this in AP.

Butter I hope you're enjoying your vacation.

Lost glad you popped in....hope you can get rid of your boredom. I found it helped for me to revisit some of my hobbies I had prior to my addiction days. I also checked the Internet for meet up groups. Those are great if you have a specific interest and want to meet others who share a common interest. I was always interested in volley ball.....played in high school and college. Although I found a group that meets in my area, I have yet to join. That is on my to do list. I am also interested in arts and crafts. That I have joined. The group meets twice a month....and we go to various galleries and art/craft shows in the area....then dinner or lunch afterward. It's fun....and allows me to get some me time away from the kids.

Mama how are you today? Are you feeling a little more optimistic today after speaking with the Specialist?

Eyes glad you are working thru some of these things. You are doing great!

Needing you made a very good point about living a more simplistic lifestyle can be very happy and rewarding. I agree wholeheartedly! In fact....this is how I want to live my life from now on....I think when we sometimes have to do without....we appreciate what we do have more......then when we receive something a little extra....those extras seem so much more special. I think living this way teaches kids valuable lessons too.

Elsie I hope your property is safe from the fires. It must be unhealthy to breath in all that smoky air. What do you do for that and for your horses?

Hi everybody! How are y'all? I had a lazy day them a busy evening. We went out to eat and to a movie with our boys. It's been awhile since we did that. We had some spicy Cajun food at Razzoos! Then we saw Lucy. It was an interesting movie. I'm feeling better about things. Now that I'm being treated it doesn't feel so hopeless. And ofcourse all of you keep my spirits up!

((((Mama))))

If it gets too bad around here we evacuate the horses but that doesn't happen very often. Mostly I put up sprinklers for them to stand under and it seems to make them more comfortable. And I don't ask them to do any work.

We have air conditioning in the house which filters it out much of the particulate matter. But it's very stuffy. Some of the time the smoke will settle in the night. And I can open the windows in the morning for a while. This year is particularly bad for thunderstorms and the lightening causes the smokey fires.

OMG! What the hell is boredom? I just finished eating supper after spending hours outside cleaning out one of Jethro's "Gettin spots"! (Junk pile)! He came out to sit on the swing to watch over the two little girls. I said: "I have a suggestion! I want to run it by you"? Damn! If I'd known he decided to jump to it right then? I'd kept my mouth shut! We are talking a MAJOR job here! I was in NO way ready to start a job like that so soon after getting up. But since he was willing and offered to help? I sure wasn't going to turn the help down. It's his crap and I'd be lost trying to decide what to keep or throw away.

The only issue we really had though was he started the job backwards! I pointed out what he was doing and he jumped in the middle of my chit! ARGH! I tried several different directions to explain the problem with the way he was starting this task and I guess one of them finally sunk in. He stopped what he was doing and moved to the "gettin spot" and started tackling the pile! Shew!

We have this long tin covered pen. We've been using it for the kids. Since I only have the two little girls and one little rooster now? It's rarely ever used anymore. So I suggested he move all the mowers, weed eaters, smoker, etc underneath the tin pen and also use the end section to move all his "gettin spot" stuff in there too! This would suffice for the lean to he was thinking of building. Then I can make the mower covered area into a smaller section for the two little girls. Sounded good to me - Right? So I left him there to ponder it over while I went back inside to clean the little kids areas to get them ready for when they came back inside! Next thing I know? He's opening the door and asking; "You gonna help me or not"? What am I helping you with? What you suggested! OMG y'all! I felt my knees give out! And to top it off I got up with a headache. My left ear is hurting and I'm thinking that's what's causing the headache. I put some drops in my ear and my headache is subsiding. I originally thought is was my BP, but the BP meds only stopped my headache for a little while.

SO? I wanted to check in with y'all! I'm on Day 27 here! And another large task has been cleaned up. This includes one large red wasp nest and one filled RAT nest sprayed with poison too.

Yes Else! I was voted in to drop the TOD here and use Sarge instead! I know! Confusing - HUH? And no I'm not the one in the picture with the large rabbit! This is me back in the 90's! Now you see why my name was changed!

Hey mama your day sounds like lots of fun! I'm so glad you're feeling better about everything! That's wonderful!

I see Elsie....I'm glad you have ways of dealing with the smoke. I was worried about you guys breathing it all in.

So this is our Sarge? I can't say you look too deadly in that picture....too pretty to be dangerous. But I guess looks can be deceiving.
Glad you got Jethro motivated a little bit. I'll bet you feel a sense of accomplishment....along with some aches and pains.

Yep Cleanin! That's the Sarge y'all voted in as taking the new name! Thank you for the compliment! If only I had the same look! Sigh! Although my pm doc told me I look much younger than my age! I'll take that compliment! LOL

Jethro got himself motivated! LOL I wasn't expecting to do that job this afternoon. But I'm glad it's done now! It's been a big headache for me for a long time. And I've mulled the "gettin spot" over a hundred times trying to figure out how to clear it up. I think he's thought the same thing too, but didn't have a solution. So when I gave him one? He jumped on it! That "gettin spot" was also a snake pit! It scared the dickens out of me whenever one of the little kids would get too close to it. And that's where they both wanted to hangout ALL the time. ARGH! There's still some raking that needs to be done, but it got too dark so it's a tomorrow job.

There's stuff leaning up against both barns and when I asked about it? Jethro said; "It stays"! Well crap! Now I've got to get him to realize that needs to go too! Maybe when mom comes over she can help me with the stuff and he'll not say anything to her about it! I'm a Devious Woman - remember that's what my daughter said about me? LOL I was very impressed by how he got everything neatly stacked inside the tin pen. I also think he probably knew I was going to tackle that pile of stuff with or w/o him. And he didn't want me throwing anything of importance to himself - AWAY!

I'll let you know later on today after I wakeup if I'm able to move!

Sarge

Gotta get the dishes done now. A woman's JOB is never done!
