To your question of why we or I said enough was enough. The same thing that made you come to this web-site and ask that question. Hope my brother. Hope that things will get better and this too shal pass.
Iv'e had a year clean and injured my knee had surgery and it got infected. I had 3 other surgeries and what was to be a six week ordeal took six months and pain medication. I relapased when I took the medication other than what it was perscribed. I have been clean 2 years since than and injured the same knee a few weeks ago. But I'm here because I have the same hope that you've shown.
As an addict my disease doesn't know the difference between what comes in a bag and what comes in a perscription bottle.
Keep coming back or check out a meeting aa or na and this way you dont have to battle this alone. In Na we have a pamphlet called in times of illness you can check it out on their website..na.org....its been very helpful for my recovery.

Love you brother:ghug3

Never give up on the idea that clean and sobor are the ideal way to live. True happiness is not a synthetic supstance and can not be put in a pill or bottle. I put so much wasted time chasing the rainbow through substances. I am grateful to be free and FREE is a wonderful feeling in and of itself. My brain is minus some brain cells and my thinking is still somewhat cloudy at times but I won't go back! I love my clean life that, if I'm lucky can make a difference in someone elses life.
