Friday morning yay. I got a day of vacation today. Gonna keep myself busy. I'm getting a bit apprehensive tho, things have been going soooo well. I'm afraid (expecting it really) that my AV will start getting louder any day now.
Anyhow, I got lots of things to keep me busy, just gotta stop looking over my shoulder and get on with it.

I'm off today, as well! I don't have too many of them- one or maybe two a week- and I do keep myself busy to a point. Learning what I need about busy v rest as I go along.
My days off almost always include a meeting (I like it best when one is a MWF since my home group lunch mtgs are on those days) and something nice for myself. Often stuff like laundry, too
Have a great day.

I remember there being a lot of fear and anxiety, not to mention anger and self-pity, surrounding weekends and holiday times for me in early sobriety. On the one hand, "Yay it's no work". On the other hand it's "WOOOAAAHH there's no work. How on earth can I stay sober and fill the time without going mad??!"
What is your plan for the weekend ahead. Failing to plan is not too far removed from planning to fail. So, rather than giving your thoughts to the worst case scenarios (dwelling in the problem) we can choose instead to focus our thoughts on the solution instead. So. What will keep you safe this weekend? What sober activities and relaxation could you do? How will you take care of those most common triggers (HALT Hunger-Anger-Lonely-Tired )? Who are your support network? Where are your happy and safe places (away from alcohol)? If you can fill a page of a notebook with that kind of stuff you'll be on your way to positive thinking and dwelling in The Solution. As you go on some of the ideas may not work for you like you thought they would, so scrub those out and add other ones to try.
Have you read through Dee's thread about making a plan? It's a good un... http://www.soberrecovery.com/forums/...y-plans-1.html
