some episodes from
my life seem like old movies
like i wasn't there
like that wasn't me
watching and remembering
but it's not fiction
that's how it went down
or that's how i remember
but i'm not all sure
my memoirs will have
to admit parts could be wrong
or reinvented
it's therapeutic
but i now write for others
that is my purpose
encouraging words
from others tell me i have
something to offer
a laugh or a tear
or a twisted parable
vignettes to ponder

Stories true to form
I have so very many
Remember them all
The sad part is this
I don't have any new ones
Only struggles
Low ones to be sure
But a story nonetheless
Just occurred to me
These might be stories
In the making. Ponder this

The good witch or bad
No matter, I'm really kind

peace is not something
people want to read about
there is no conflict
and so the plot stalls
and the protagonist just
watches the days pass
it's not a bad thing
to lack drama in your life
create adventure
an adventure is
a plot without a conflict
a walk in the park
watching flowers bloom
a fine day at the races
or chasing your dogs
