Not Quite There
I am still drinking sometimes. I never had a problem with drinking until my father became increasingly depressed and basically gave up on life and was drinking a lot, then fell, then passed away about 6 months later. I am not drinking everyday like I was at that time. I do feel that I need support to keep my drinking to a minimum. I don't know that I will give it up completely unless it becomes a daily thing again.
We each get here at our own pace. If you didn't question your drinking you would not be on a recovery site posting. You will find lots of support no matter what stage you are at. Keep posting and asking questions - good luck.
I wasn't sure when I got here either dhein...
Others here showed me tho that, no matter the volume, my relationship with alcohol was a toxic one...
I ended the relationship and never looked back

Thank you, everyone for your support and welcoming me to the group. I don't feel that I need help with my drinking problem at this time, but now I know I definitely have a place to go if I do need help.
Daily drinking isn't the sole sign of an alcohol problem. Something brought you here. If your drinking is a problem, you should address it before it progresses.
Read around the site. There's plenty of evidence of what happens if you wait.
Good luck.

Welcome, dhein, and thanks for introducing yourself.
When I first came here I really didn't know what I was looking for. I just knew that my current relationship with alcohol wasn't healthy. Take some time to look around and read what others are posting. You won't necessarily relate to all that's posted, but you may see shared experiences in some of the posts.
