Hello - SoberRecovery : Alcoholism Drug Addiction Help and Information

Just saying hi to everyone with my first post. Actually signed up a while a while ago so I could do some searches. My disease is?? who knows, all I know is the main symptom is alcoholism. 5 and half years years in AA with one early minor relapse (two beers after a few months), and one big relapse (just one day but a liter of vodka) 4 months ago, alot of resentments including AA related ones and life stressors. Still going to meetings, not my old ones,just not connecting with AA anymore but not drinkin either. Wow !! 3 million posts. I have found some useful posts that do the lightbulb on thing in previous posts. Anyway Idon't want write 164 pages. Seems like a really nice group of people and well run forum.

You're right about this being a great place - I'm glad you found us. I've learned a lot here and find that it's become my main support. Congratulations on getting sober!

Hi Carter, this place is awesome. If you ever have "nothin' to do" we're always here. Lot's of great forums and if you're REALLY bored, there is also and "Arcade" with a bunch of fun games to play. Hope to see you around.

I don't mean to be rude, but over five years of one program seems a bit much. Maybe it's time to change things up a bit if there's resentment mixed in.
