Hello Soberleigh you wonderful person xx
I'm having an emotional but fantastic day. My eldest child leaves primary school today. In the UK kids go to primary school from 4 - 11 years and then they go to secondary or "big" school. So today we went to her leavers assembly and I was so incredibly proud when she stood up to talk about her favourite memories of primary school. She's growing up so fast into an awesome young person. I'm so lucky to have her and her brothers and sister in my life.
Last night I went out with some mums from the school and had a fantastic time. They drank countless bottles of prosecco and I drank diet coke and it was absolutely fine. When one of them asked why I wasn't drinking, I said, "I have more fun when I'm sober". And the truth is, I do. I still stayed out til 1am, I still laughed until my stomach hurt and I still chatted until I couldn't speak anymore but I did it all sober. And there was no need for me to wear dark glasses to hide hungover eyes this morning on the school run.
I love being sober. I absolutely love it. It makes EVERYTHING better. 24 more hours please xxxx

I've never met your daughter but I am proud of her, too!!!!!!!!
Yay, milestoners!!
yukon- Thats awesome!!
((((bandicoot))))
Younger daughter and I are back from JP. The wedding was beautiful.
Gotta admit though-
There were moments I felt like I was tiptoeing through a mile field re drinking.
But I made it!!
So glad I made a vow on here not to drink.
24 more hours please

Sorry I've been quiet this week- My mother in law flies in tomorrow and I swore I would not stress about it or spend time fixing up the house but guess what I've been doing all week- stressing and fixing up the house!! Today is a no-errands day. I'm focusing on cleaning, hanging up pictures and making up the guest room. I might have to go grocery shopping later but will do it child free to make it easier.
I ate sugar last night but I am trying not to beat myself up about it. We were out of power and hubby went into the drug store to grab us snacks (dinner) and he didn't get me anything low carb so I ate junk!
Today is another day. About to make a protein shake.
Happy to be alive and sober- 81 days and counting..
Congrats to all the milestoners!
