Lillian here. Back to report that, even though I had a really tough day at work, I did not need to drink to make it a truly awful day. My AV whispered a few times that I deserved wine after all this stress and gosh? Yeah, bite me. I am grateful for all that the world shared with me today. Laughter works much better than wine.
My mind may finally be accepting that alcohol makes a tough day worse, not better in my case. That is MAJOR if that's true. Well, it's true today and I will take that.
Another 24 please. 8:10 pm in San Diego California!

I went to a GREAT meeting tonight! There is nothing like knowing that I have a whole community of people nearby who support me in my sobriety.

I'm checking in early today 6.50am UK time. Thanks for all the good wishes
@jseattle, congrats on nearly a month, sorry to hear the cravings are hard do you think it might be a good idea to get rid of the bottles so temptation is out of the way? I know that helped me.
The bosses at work have made me the only doctor in the building yet again today grr. Normally there are 2- one does the extra on the day patients (usually 4 or 5 patients) and telephone requests so the other can get out early to do the home visits (again usually one or 2 but there have been 7 in one day!!)
If I'm on my own that means I have to do both then be back by 2.30pm to see the afternoon patients (plus any extra on the day patients, and telephone requests etc.etc.) Usually means running around like a blue-arsed fly, no lunch, barely even time to go to the loo.
I think the bosses are being cheeky with this because I'm a temp- this is the third time in 2 months and second time in a week!! Sorry about the rant- just fed up
