I'm approaching the 4-month mark and am beginning to finally feel like I don't have to be in a sexual relationship in order to feel good about being a man. I shake my head at how much emphasis I put on validating my worth as a person based upon my sexuality. I was a 40-something behaving like a teenager.

I am learning a lot about codependency. I am waiting until two years sober before I get involved with anyone. Being dependent on sex scares me.
