Today I am grateful for

Good Morning.
Today I am grateful for another day alcohol free. As many of you know I have struggled so much with finding day one and finding a way to stay sober.
I am just going to wake up everyday and say thank you for another day sober. Once I get a week or two under my belt I might expand into the other forums. But for now I just am going to be grateful for the sober day I had previously.
Thank you to you all for the support.
I hate alcohol and the damage it has done to my body, life and relationships. I am beat down as low as I have ever been.

grate·ful (grāt′fəl)
adj.
1. Appreciative of benefits received; thankful: I'm grateful for your help.
2. Expressing gratitude: a grateful look.
3. Affording pleasure or comfort; agreeable: grateful relief from the hot sun.

You can add to this thread daily, asixstringnut.

Lots of members do this rather than start a new one everyday.

You're welcome to do the same.

Congratulations on another day sober!

Good morning!
One day at a time is what works. Looking far into the future can be overwhelming. Your past does not define who you are in the present.

Congratulations on being alcohol free.

“My past has not defined me, destroyed me, deterred me, or defeated me; it has only strengthened me.”

I am grateful that I did not drink today and I was able to take my dogs to the lake and let them swim. It is 93 here today. They had a blast.
