Welcome to the forums. Surely there are other issues you'd like to talk about--I'd suggest starting your own thread so folks can get to know you. There's a lot of great support to be had here. Have you read the "sticky" threads? Lots of great info there.
Thankyou. I will have a look around the site for information.

I would say that if you live in an open floor plan, have the windows open, and the smell is permeating floors, there is not much else you can do except remove the alcoholic from the home. its my understanding that using air fresheners etc just mingle with yuck smell sometimes making it worse.

I don't think its uncommon for many people to be oblivious to the way they smell even non-alcoholic. An alcoholic moreso.

So sorry for what brings you here and maybe someone will have an idea that might help.
Thankyou for your input

When I would pick my xab up after work he would smell like he'd just been at the pub.... He had a fairly physical job and I think his sweat was probably more alcohol then sweat.

I have found that putting a vase with ammonia in it (stick some fake flowers in it if they balk) in the rooms helps some. I lived in the mountains, nights in single digits, and had to leave windows open just to breathe...
Welcome. I am new here too with lots of learning to do
