This is my first time here,,,not sure how to navigate around,
I just know I want off the pain meds...but this withdrawal is something
any suggestions,,,will xanax help,,,anything help?

HI U are getting off pain pills,. It is a tough fite. I have tried 4 years I still have a habbit.U asked about xanax. It helps 4 a minute And is harder 2 get off than herion. I know well.Ask me any guestions I will have the answers,And they come from being there. Cathy

I m9ight suggest you attend Narcotics Anonymous, get a sponsor. Meantime there is hope that you never have to use again, and there is a better way to live. I remember how trapped I felt, I kicked off pain pills too, drink lots of clear fluids, 7UP works well or sprite, imodium AD, you will find out soon about the bathroom experience if you haven't yet, if you can't eat because the smell makes you sicker, just make sure you drink lots of fluids. I lost 50 LBS. in less than 4 days.

Hang in there, by the way, I am coming up on 2 years clean and loving life, it gets better each day, don't use NO MATTER WHAT, and attend meetings every day you can and get with some folks that are doing this thing called recovery, a everything will fall into place.
